Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has made society aware of the importance of mental health and, in particular, that of the most vulnerable minors. Progress in the field of psychological therapy is constant: development of new therapeutic procedures, clinical trials on treatment efficacy, transdiagnostic interventions to address comorbidity, etc. The exponential growth of research means that the scientific corpus is continually enriched with new contributions, which is why guidelines on data-driven therapy are periodically renewed so as not to become outdated. In the same way, the child and adolescent therapist has the challenge and obligation of ongoing training, which allows him/her to offer minors and their families the most effective drug addiction treatments available at any given time.
