Es un reto, para cualquier organización sanitaria, afrontar con eficacia la atención de los enfermos que padecen las consecuencias de las drogodependencias y otros trastornos adictivos. El marco normativo básico de la Comunidad Valenciana en la materia establece la consideración, a todos los efectos, de las adiciones como enfermedades comunes y enmarca las medidas necesarias para normalizar la asistencia de estos enfermos, así como su derecho al acceso libre y gratuito a las prestaciones y servicios de la red pública sanitaria y social para lograr la atención, integral e integrada, necesaria para su recuperación.
