Relación entre los factores sociodemográficos y la función sexual en pacientes con Hipertensión Arterial

Objetivo: Determinar la relación de los factores sociodemográficos y la función sexual en pacientes con HTA. Método: Diseño descriptivo correlacional, La muestra estuvo conformada por 148 pacientes con HTA de la unidad de medicina familiar en el área rural del municipio de Ahome. Resultados: Las mujeres mostraron descenso en la excitación (M= 2.12, DE= .26) y la lubricación (M= 2.19, DE= .20). El nivel de disfunción eréctil fue entre media (36.2%) y media moderada (26.3%). Casi todos los participantes presentaron disfunción sexual secundaria al tratamiento con psicofármacos. La función sexual femenina y masculina se presentaron correlaciones negativas y significativas con la edad (rs= -.477, rs= -.700, p< .01), tiempo de diagnóstico de HTA (rs= -.399, rs= -.417, p< .01), tiempo de relación sentimental o de pareja (rs= -.382, rs= -.618, p< .01) y número de hijos (rs= -.368, rs= -.610, p< .01) y mostró relación positiva y significativa con la escolaridad (rs= .435, rs= .314, p< .01). La disfunción sexual secundaria al tratamiento con psicofármacos se encontró relación positiva y significativa con la edad (rs= .429, p< .01), el tiempo de diagnóstico (rs= .369, p< .01) y de relación sentimental (rs= .297, p< .01) y con el número de hijos (rs= .326, p< .01) y relación negativa y significativa con la escolaridad (rs= -.207, p< .05). Conclusiones: El padecimiento y el tratamiento de la HTA repercuten en la función sexual de las mujeres y hombres.Downloads
