En el presente trabajo se pretende mostrar el abordaje psicológico realizado en un sujeto con un problema de dependencia a cocaína y abuso de alcohol en un centro público de atención a drogodependientes, perteneciente a la Agencia Antidroga de la Consejería de Sanidad de la Comunidad de Madrid. Dicho abordaje psicológico se sitúa en el paradigma conductista radical que, lejos de ser el tratamiento al uso en drogodependencias, constituye una excepción. El caso que se presenta trata de mostrar la utilidad que las terapias de conducta de tercera generación pueden tener en el tratamiento de esta población.
Abstract
The psychological approach followed by a Drug Addict Public Assistance Center, belonging to the Antidrug Agency of the Health Regional Ministry of the County of Madrid, to treat a subject with cocaine addiction and alcohol abuse, is presented. The treatment, based on the radical behavioral paradigm, is an exception rather than a common approach in the drug addict field. The case presented in this paper intends to show the usefulness of third generation behavior treatments when dealing with this population.
