En la actualidad el campo de las adicciones se ha ampliado ante la aparición de una patología similar a las adicciones a las sustancias químicas pero donde no existe una sustancia psicoactiva, denominadas conductas adictivas, o adicciones no convencionales. Através de los últimos años se ha comprobado que ciertos individuos son más sensibles a desarrollar una conducta adictiva hacia objetos actividades o personas o un mismo individuo puede desarrollar unas conductas adictivas y a la vez una adicción a drogas.
En cambio otras pueden desarrollar con mayor facilidad una conducta adictiva a las actividades, a las máquinas u objetos o a las personas de manera exclusiva, permanente y/o sucesiva, a la cual se le denomina personalidad adictógena. Una de estas patologías es la conducta adictiva al juego llamada también ludopatía y es la que desarrollaremos en este trabajo. Se presentan las características clínicas del trastorno, las diferentes etapas del proceso adictivo, incidiendo en los mecanismos cognitivos. Se propone una clasificación del adicto al juego.

Abstract
The addicionology field is more extensive these days than many years ago because it comes up pathology some at chemical substance addiction but there aren't a psychoactive substance in use, this pathology is calling for the specialists "addictive behaviors" or none conventional addictions. Through the years in clinical and hospitals we can see that some people are more sensitive to develop an addictive behavior besides a chemical addiction, and others can develop easily an addiction to the activities, machines, objects or persons of exclusive permanent and successive way. One of this interesting and complexity pathology is the gambler addictive behavior, calling also ludopatia and the following are the clinical profile.
Characteristics of gambling are presented, the stages of the addictive process, especially on cognitive mechanisms. A classification of gambler is presented.
