Impacto del distrés y la intolerancia a la incertidumbre sobre las conductas adictivas en universitarios en tiempos de pandemia

Resumen

Las conductas adictivas constituyen uno de los grandes problemas a nivel mundial, que se ha incrementado aun a pesar de la pandemia por Covid-19; en este escenario dos factores de impacto importante en la regulación vienen a ser el distrés y la intolerancia a la incertidumbre. Objetivo: Determinar el impacto del distrés y la intolerancia a la incertidumbre sobre las conductas adictivas en universitarios peruanos. Método: Estudio correlacional multivariante, 552 estudiantes de ambos sexos con edades de 18 a 30 años fueron seleccionados mediante muestreo por conve- niencia. Se aplicaron el Cuestionario MULTICAGE CAD-4, la escala de Intolerancia a la Incertidumbre y la escala de Distrés. Resultados: Dos modelos de regresión estructural puestos a prueba resultaron con buenos índices de ajuste, evidenciando que las variables distrés e intolerancia a la incertidumbre experimentados por los estudiantes tienen efectos directos en las conductas adictivas; la intolerancia a la incertidumbre cumple un rol de mediador para las conductas adictivas, incrementando casi al doble el efecto del distrés. Conclusión: el distrés tiene un efecto directo en la práctica de conductas adictivas y estas son mediadas y potenciadas por la intolerancia a incertidumbre en la muestra universitaria.
