El propósito de esta investigación es aportar datos sobre la relación
que pueda existir entre determinados acontecimientos vitales en mujeres alcohólicas y su dependencia de alcohol. Para ello, se han seleccionado una serie de variables, como los antecedentes de abuso sexual, de maltrato físico, de progenitores alcohólicos, o la presencia de pareja alcohólica.
Han sido contrastadas tres muestras de mujeres alcohólicas, mujeres no alcohólicas y hombres alcohólicos para encontrar diferencias. Además, han sido examinadas las consecuencias psicológicas, familiares y sociales en los dos grupos de mujeres y hombres alcohólicos para identificar divergencias. La información fue recogida a partir de una entrevista semiestructurada. Como medida de control, se recurrió al cuestionario AUDIT, para garantizar la inclusión de los participantes en el grupo adecuado.
Los datos se sometieron a un análisis de contraste. Los resultados
mostraron que determinados acontecimientos vitales son más frecuentes entre las mujeres alcohólicas, y que las consecuencias de su dependencia de alcohol, en algunos casos son diferentes a los hombres.
Abstract
The aim of this article is to contribute data on the relation that
can exist between certain vital events in alcoholic women and their
alcohol dependency. For it, a series of variables has been selected,
like the antecedents of sexual abuse, physical maltreatment, alcoholic ancestors, or the presence of alcoholic partner. Three samples of alcoholic women, non-alcoholic women have been resisted and alcoholic men to find differences. In addition, the psychological, familiar and social consequences have been examined in both groups of women and alcoholic men to identify divergences. Data were collected from a semistructured interview. As control measurement, one resorted to questionnaire AUDIT, to guarantee the inclusion of the participants in the suitable group. Data were put under a contrast analysis. The results showed that certain vital events are more frequent between the alcoholic women, and who the consequences of their alcohol dependency, in some cases were different from the men.
